She married William Lewis, son of Joseph Lewis and Ann Shortland, in 1776 at St. Mary's Co. Md. (an unknown value.) She married Ignatius COOMES circa 1795; They moved to Loudoun Co. VA shortly after marriage, then around 1810 to Nelson Co. KY, then to Breckinridge Co. KY in the Axtel neighborhood. 1868 deed shows them at Tuels Creek. BIOGRAPHY: In 1800 Sarah is found in Hardy Co. VA (now WV)with her second husband, Francis Ignatius Coomes, Jr. on Hunting Ridge where Scaggs Run empties into the North River. (Inkerman, WV) Her sons, Walter and Linus Coomes were Catholic priests. She died on 5 May 1850 at BRECK. CO. KY at age 92. She was buried on 6 May 1850 at St Romulad Cemetery, Hardinsburg, KY. Her tombstone lists her as Sarah Coomes.
