Among the witnesses of this case were Thomas Hussey and his wife, Elizabeth, called by the defendant, Thomas Baker. It was learned that Baker had a grudge against Nevill from earlier years. The court found Baker had maliciously defamed Nevill and his wife. He was ordered to ask forgiviness in open court on bent knees, and pay court cost. John Nevill and his wife too asked Baker for forgiveness of God.
